Bassmaster Elite Series Sure to Make a Splash in Sacramento
Premiere Fishing Tournament Will Take the Stage at Discovery Park
SACRAMENTO, CA - The Bassmaster Elite Series is heading to Sacramento from April 30 - May 3, at Discovery Park. Thousands of spectators will gather to watch the 110 professional anglers compete over four days for a $100,000 top prize. Fans will also have the opportunity to enjoy a free, family friendly Fan Expo, live music with a special performance by The Voice Season 7 Winner, Craig Wayne Boyd, food and beverages, free parking, a free bike valet provided by the Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates, and more!
On Saturday, season 7 winner of the Voice, Craig Wayne Boyd will take the stage for a free concert beginning at 1:00pm. Local retro-inspired folk rock darlings, Musical Charis, will entertain Sunday's crowd from 12:00-2:00pm. Be sure to arrive early for each show and bring your own lawn chairs or blankets for the best viewing.
Along with the scheduled entertainment, guests will have access to a large fan expo that includes outdoor and wildlife businesses, the opportunity to purchase fishing and hunting licenses, free giveaways, and much more! The expo will also feature both local and national companies including, but not limited to, Toyota, B.A.S.S. merchandise, Bass Pro Shops 7 Nitro, Berkley, Shell Rotella, and more! The fan expo will be open both Saturday and Sunday, May 2-3, from 11:00am - 5:00pm. Food and beverages will be on-site for purchase throughout the weekend and will feature a selection of Farm-to-Fork inspired creations!

Anglers will launch beginning at 6:15am Thursday-Sunday and will return between 2:15-3:15pm each day. The much anticipated weigh-ins will begin promptly once the anglers return and the festival will remain open until 5:00pm, or after the weigh-ins have ended. Gates will open at 6:00am each day for boat launch viewing. Concessions will open at 8:00am each day for the breakfast crowd and then will re-open at 11:00am and close following the weigh-ins. About the Sacramento Sports Commission
The Sacramento Sports Commission was created in the 1980s as a joint city-county advisory board to attract and develop major professional and amateur sporting events in the capital region.
