Sacramento Sets the Stage for the First Pan
Pacific Masters Games.
The Pan Pacific Masters Games is the first creation
arising out of the partnership between the Sacramento
Sports Commission and Gold Coast Events Management
of Queensland, Australia.
Sacramento will host the event every other year starting
in 2003, with the Gold Coast presenting the Games
in 2004.
This multi-sport competition kicks off July 26-August
3 and will feature over 15 sports at various venues
throughout Sacramento.
Aimed at attracting the mature-aged athletes over
30 years of age, the Pan Pacific Masters Games have
no qualifying marks required for entry and are open
to anyone who meets the minimum age requirements.

Competitors will be presented with well organized
events at some of the best venues Sacramento has to
offer.
California State University, Sacramento will be the
site of the Pan Pacific Masters Games Village. Visitors
to the Village will find it to be the social hub of
the Games as they enjoy food and beverages while reflecting
over the day’s competition or dancing the night
away to the nightly live entertainment presented on
the Village Stage.
